Competition in the medical fields is one of the biggest challenges facing those working in the field of SEO due to the difficulty of competition, and also because most of the clients that are worked on are in the form of Personal Branding, so the types of words that are chosen must be taken into account, and the explanation of some operations or diagnoses must be done correctly. Initially, sites where the focus is on a specific person, his keywords can overlap with general keywords for large medical sites. In the beginning, it was important to identify the words that would help the doctor get more bookings, and benefit from the presence of high-quality visitors.

About the client: –

In the beginning, the client did not have any words that express Personal Branding. For example, clients or visitors searched by his name directly on Google. The client asked us to appear with keywords that had nothing to do with his name as a target, while setting a goal to increase visits to his “name” within 6 months.

1- The most important problems: 

  • There are problems with the client’s website template 

After analyzing the problems using the Scraming Frog tool, we found that the main reason for the existence of many of these problems is changes that must be made in the template, so we proposed a new template, and the client implemented it.

  • Hosting problem

It is considered one of the most important problems that existed. After reviewing the history of the site, we found that when search robots exceed a certain number, the hosting does not respond to any request, and server connectivity problems increased by 10% during the last month before we managed the site.

  • Choose keywords and write in them

It is one of the most difficult tasks that had to be coordinated with the doctor’s work team. Some of the keywords are general words in which specific symptoms and treatment methods are explained. Most of the treatment methods are copied from other sites and written in different wordings. We had several goals to solve this problem, which will be presented throughout the article.

Solutions we have made:- 

1- Choose keywords 

It was necessary to search for keywords aimed at increasing the rate of potential customers or leads, so we created a paid campaign on Google Ads whose primary goal is to know the keywords that can be worked on and the rate of customers that can be registered within a period of 15 days and thus build a clear prediction in front of the customer of the customer rate and their value. The steps are as follows:- 

  • Creating a Tracking System on GA4. This was done by creating a Thank You Page and specifying it as a target on GA4. You can find out How to create Goal on GA4 
  • Choose several keywords that are related to the same services as the client, and which have a medium to high CPC rate, and test them in an advertising campaign on the services provided by the client.
  • After the end of the period, we decided on the keywords that we can start with.

 

2- Content 

It is one of the most difficult problems that exist, which requires a specialist in the same field, and also due to the repetition of information on the Internet and among competitors and the presence of public website content. We solved the problem with these steps:- 

  •  After extracting the keywords related to the words chosen in the previous step, we identified the titles that would be written about in the first three months of the campaign and we identified 20 articles on a monthly basis.
  • We presented the titles to the doctor, and the goal was to write updated information from the doctor’s experiences and his knowledge of many sources and fields about the field, and he wrote information about each word.
  • We hired a content writer with experience in medical content, and he crafted the words and ideas in a content format that was up-to-date on competing sites.

 

3- Competitors 

It was important that we follow Google's preferences, in the sites that appear in the same keywords that we want to appear in the first result, and we improved the basic landing pages for the services to be the same structure as the competing sites, and we improved the On Page of the pages differently from the competitors.

 

4- Backlinks 

During the first 3 months, we paid attention to publishing articles on the doctor’s social media pages, and the goal was to improve the archiving rate as a result of the interaction that would occur on the article.

During the last 3 months, we diversified the sources of backlinks, but the goal was to raise awareness of the doctor’s name, by creating banners on famous medical sites. We had two main goals in this step: 

 

The first goal: Increase awareness of the doctor’s name and increase the referral rate.

The second goal: Having the banner on all pages of the site helped us obtain a large number of backlinks in a short time.

 Case study results

After completing the campaign period, which was 6 months, we increased the rate of site visits from 13 visits to 122 visits, an increase of 838.4%, with more than 800 potential customers obtained through Organic Search only, within 6 months.

Conclusion: 

Some fields, due to their difficulty, only require doing the basics, as well as continuous daily work.

Do not do backlinks at first, but build the site internally correctly, and distribute links optimally to benefit from the content of each page.

Some areas need a marketing part within the content, and in this particular area, the focus should be on the content of the services to help the user make a decision to pre-book or visit the doctor’s clinic.
